Under general supervision, and with medical consultation and direction, performs physical, psycho-social assessment; establishes medical diagnosis; orders and evaluate diagnostic tests; manages follow up care; does other related work as required. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, developing treatment plans, ordering and interpreting lab tests and results, along with providing preventative healthcare and counseling.

Northside Hospital BMT APP Role APPs in the BMT program typically work with oncologists, hematologists, and transplant specialists to provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplants.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts Rotating weekends and holidays High-acuity patient population with continuous monitoring and rapid intervention KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

A college degree as a Physician’s Assistant from a recognized university, affiliated with a medical school Please refer to the Medical Staff Guidelines for certifications and credentialing applicable to this position.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

Two to five years of experience with a medical practice setting where diagnosis, treatment and patient education were the main focus of the role
