Job Details

Administers or prescribes treatments Discusses potential side effects to medications and/or immunizations with patients Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for disease prevention Refers patients to medical specialists for consultant services for their well-being, as needed Provides competent and culturally sensitive primary care services to patients Offers hormone therapy management, including prescribing and monitoring hormone regimens Addresses and manages the physical, emotional, and mental health needs of transgender individuals Conducts assessments for gender affirming surgeries and facilitate appropriate referrals, as needed Works with the behavioral health team by assisting with gender identity exploration and provides support throughout the transitioning process Offers specialized care to patients living with HIV, including antiretroviral therapy management. Monitors disease progression, immune statuses, and potential complications related to HIV Provides counseling and education on adherence to treatment plans and preventative measures Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans

Requirements: Medical degree (MD or DO) Active California medical license Board Certification Required + experience working with transgender patients and/or those living with HIV preferred DEA license BLS certification
