Our North Garden, VA facility is seeking a skilled
Front End Loader Operator
to join our first-shift operations team. This position offers a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to contribute to the success of a leading hardwood lumber manufacturer. The primary responsibilities include safely and efficiently operating a wheel loader/front loader to handle logs, cants, packs of lumber, and other mill materials, as well as loading chips, dust, and bark into open-top trailers.

First Shift Full-Time Hours Overtime Hours and Pay Responsibilities
Operate a wheel loader/front loader to move and organize various materials around the sawmill. Unload and load log trucks in a safe and efficient manner. Organize logs into proper decks according to size, species, or production needs. Load logs into the mill to maintain steady production flow. Load containers of resale logs and mulch trucks as needed. Maintain communication with production and shipping departments to support ongoing operations. Adhere to all plant safety and environmental policies, guidelines, and procedures. Work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency. Assist the shipping department with additional duties as required. Qualifications
Previous experience operating a wheel loader or similar heavy equipment required. Knowledge of log yard or sawmill operations preferred. Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to work overtime as needed.
