About the Role:
The Planner Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring that projects and operations are executed efficiently and on time within our San Antonio, TX facility. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing detailed project schedules that align with organizational goals and resource availability. The Planner Scheduler collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, and procurement to anticipate potential delays and implement corrective actions proactively. By analyzing project timelines and resource constraints, this role helps to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Ultimately, the Planner Scheduler ensures that all project milestones are met, contributing to the overall success and profitability of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in project planning and scheduling within a manufacturing, construction, or engineering environment. Proficiency in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools. Strong understanding of project management principles and scheduling methodologies. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Scheduling (e.g., PMI-SP). Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing setting. Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools. Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines. Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using industry-standard software tools. Coordinate with project teams to gather accurate data on task durations, dependencies, and resource requirements. Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect changes, delays, or accelerations. Identify potential scheduling conflicts or risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Generate regular reports and communicate schedule status to stakeholders and management. Support resource planning by aligning schedules with workforce availability and material deliveries. Facilitate schedule review meetings and ensure alignment across all departments involved in the project.
