Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Resurrection Medical Center , a leading acute care hospital serving Chicago's northwest side and a proud member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Neurology Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Neurology team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced Neurologists in a collaborative, patient-centered environment, providing care across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Position Highlights
- Employment: Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group
- Schedule: Full-time, dayshift Mix of inpatient and outpatient
- Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and develop treatment plans under physician supervision
- Manage acute and chronic neurological conditions in accordance with clinical protocols
- Conduct inpatient consultations, assist with discharges, and manage outpatient follow-ups
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (EEG, imaging, labs)
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care
- Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation per hospital standards
Candidate Eligibility:
- Licensed NP or PA in the State of Illinois
- National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA)
- Neurology experience preferred; open to training strong internal medicine or critical care candidates
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive annual salary: $120,000-$140,000 (based on experience, credentials, and licensure)
