We are looking for an exceptional Firmware Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in developing firmware for new products. Responsibilities Design and create world class firmware and software Dive into and take ownership of critical design issues and code Interact with cross-functional teams across the company, including hardware team Participate in design and code reviews Address all aspects of technology readiness, including manufacturability Help build robust methodology and processes to deliver technology to products About The Team Key for Business (KfB) team’s mission is to provide Amazon with 1-click access to every customer's doorstep. Key for Business, our patented building access technology, supports Amazon Last Mile in the US. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent Experience in embedded wireless systems Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design Experience writing low level drivers Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
