POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Production Underwriter is responsible for underwriting and marketing accounts throughout approved states/territories. The Production Underwriter plays a key role in the underwriting capabilities of Amynta Dealer Solutions. They will own the results of their book of business, engaging in risk selection and customer service activities.
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Own the results of their book of business and be compensated based on profitability.
Maintain a balance between distribution and risk selection to promote profitable growth.
Understand how their book fits into the broader portfolio strategy.
Maintain relationships with agents/brokers.
Generate submissions and close accounts.
Relationship Management
Develop and maintain business development plans with internal stakeholders, targeting broker and agent prospects.
Educate the broker market on products, highlighting our competitive advantages and fostering new relationships.
Enhance Amynta Dealer Solutions' profile within the broker community to build strong, ongoing relationships.
Track engagement metrics and maintain follow-ups, sharing feedback with stakeholders.
Engage regularly with brokers through virtual and face-to-face meetings and handle queries via appropriate channels.
Underwriting
Develop and support a profitable portfolio aligned with business plans.
Structure tailored solutions considering underwriting parameters and exposures.
Monitor premiums, costs, and claims ratios, adjusting strategies as needed.
Evaluate risk premiums considering costs, reinsurance, and capital exposure.
Adhere to underwriting standards for delegated authority business.
Additional Responsibilities
Collaborate with leadership to solve problems.
Assist in developing internal and external materials.
Support leadership with presentations and special projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of commercial underwriting experience.
Proven sales and client service experience.
Knowledge of underwriting processes and industry experience.
Strong analytical, relationship management, and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
Property & Casualty license or willingness to obtain.
CPCU, AU-M, CIC designations are a plus.
Willingness to travel for industry events and client visits.
