Information Technology / Assurance Specialist I . Job Description : Summary :
The IT / Assurance Specialist I primarily works within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts. The position provides "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities : Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer systems. Maintain file servers, firewalls, network access, security monitoring systems, and system documentation. Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimal equipment performance. Prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests. Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages. Notify customers of changes affecting AIS accreditation/certification. Perform AIS self-inspections. Provide security coordination and review all system test plans. Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures. Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of per security policies. Perform VTC system administration, scheduling, and configuration. Provide guest network client support. Manage account creations, changes, and deletions. Provide help desk support and troubleshooting. Configure, upgrade, and modify hardware/software systems. Support personal issue laptops. Manage media control and accountability. Manage COMSEC accounts and equipment. Requirements : Two (2) years of related experience. Bachelor’s Degree in a related area or four (4) years of equivalent experience. Must meet DoD Directive 8570.01-M certification requirements for Information Assurance Technician Level 2 within 6 months of hire. Security Requirements : Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. Eligibility for access to SAPs. Willingness to submit to a counterintelligence polygraph. Skills : Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012 R2, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 / 2010, Windows 7 / 10 OS, and related hardware. Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, data backup, and communication security (COMSEC). Familiarity with Risk Management Framework, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy related to A&A. Experience with PL1 & PL2 systems; cross-domain solutions experience desired. Knowledge of current security policies and manuals. Ability to work in a dynamic environment and interact effectively with DOD personnel, industry partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Creativity, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Willingness to travel within the geographic Area of Responsibility, including air and ground transportation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Physical Requirements :
