We are seeking an energetic, passionate and eager Project Architect to join our growing teams in Washington, DC; Denver, CO; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; Tampa, FL and Austin, TX. The candidate will work with project leadership and design teams to manage projects in all phases of design, applying technical proficiency to create innovative design solutions and coordinate related project activities. The position also supports business development and presentation efforts in securing and advancing new projects. How will you contribute to the team?

Make timely design and technical decisions in a collaborative manner while seeking advice of peers and supervisors. Present oneself professionally to clients and maintain a ‘seller-doer’ approach; routinely interface with clients and keep them properly informed. Perform programming, planning and other conceptual design activities. Develop designs and sketches into Revit-based construction documents and direct a project team to do the same. Produce design and construction documents in BIM. Mentor and lead a project team to produce a complete set of construction documents; perform QC review for design and redline documents for production by the project team in BlueBeam or another digital format. Coordinate with sub-consultants and other disciplines; mentor junior staff to do the same. Perform QC review for specifications and contribute information to a specification writer. Create organized Exhibits in BlueBeam and PowerPoint for client and team review. Direct and perform site observation and field work when required, including site investigations and existing facility inventory and generation of field measured documentation. Provide status reports of progress on architectural documents to Sr. Architects / Project Managers. Complete assignments efficiently, accurately and on time; self-perform quality control prior to publication. Communicate regularly with the team and stay within the hours budgeted for tasks. Maintain and coordinate the project BIM model and demonstrate strong knowledge of construction document standards and conventions. Possess strong knowledge of building codes and experience with code review processes; interact with regulatory agencies to achieve consensus. Consult with product manufacturers to evaluate and obtain accurate cost information, select materials, and inspect architectural features in the field. Understand building materials and construction methods; manage time effectively and handle multiple projects or issues simultaneously; work independently or in a team as needed. Analyze information and propose effective solutions; create basic and informative 3D models in BIM or another digital format. Demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit and interest in career advancement. What will you contribute? Bachelor's or master’s degree in architecture required. Minimum 10-15 years of relevant work experience including all phases of architectural design and CAD drafting, detailing and coordination of consultants. The position requires expertise in BIM / Revit and AutoCAD. Registered Architect or Candidate must be in the process of completing the Architect Registration Exam (ARE). LEED AP is a plus. Excellent computer skills and ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. Knowledgeable about building codes, ADAAG and other relevant design criteria; LEED AP or other sustainability certification or ability to obtain within first 6 months of hire. Advanced knowledge of building systems and experience with various project types such as aviation, rail, transit, commercial, education is a plus. Benefits and Equal Opportunity
