Recruitment/Youth and Family Specialist The Recruitment/Youth and Family Specialist works cooperatively with many social and community settings to identify potential foster families, provide comprehensive family assessment and to review and retain foster families. The Foster Family Recruitment Specialist works a flexible schedule and spends a good deal of time contacting families, connecting with community partners and arranging training and support opportunities within the community. The Recruitment Specialist works closely with the Community Outreach Manager to develop an annual strategic plan based on current and past data trends. The Recruitment Specialist is a member of the Family Resource team– helping to license and train families so that children can be placed in safe, stable homes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field with 1 year experience and LSW licensure eligibility

Ability to work within the Mission of the agency.

Significant experience working with children with social/emotional/physical problems desirable. Mediation and conflict resolution skills helpful.

Open to new ideas and desire to grow professionally. Flexibility in thinking and scheduling.

Possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Ability to utilize independent sound clinical judgement and decision making with regards to best interest of children and families.

Location This position is located in Worcester, MA and it requires frequent travel (reimbursed) throughout Massachusetts. This position is in person with potential for hybrid schedule and requires often local travel to our group homes and occasional travel throughout New England.
