Senior Financial Analyst – Strategic Finance
HD Supply is looking for a highly analytical and business‑minded Strategic Finance Analyst to shape the company’s financial direction and support critical strategic initiatives, capital planning, and executive decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with senior leadership to develop and maintain
company-wide financial models , forecasts, and budgets
Perform
ad hoc analyses
on growth opportunities, pricing strategies, investment decisions, and strategic initiatives
Build
sensitivity and scenario models
to guide capital allocation and support data‑driven decision‑making
Extract, clean, and analyze large, unstructured datasets; synthesize insights into
executive‑ready presentations
Support quarterly forecasting and the
annual strategic planning processes
across the enterprise
Lead and enhance recurring
monthly reporting , identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities
Stay informed on macroeconomic indicators, industry trends, and financial market shifts relevant to the business
Collaborate with the
Chief Transformation Office
and Strategic Business Development teams to align financial and operational goals
Provide analytical support on
M&A, divestitures, and investment evaluation
Preferred Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Strategy Consulting, FP&A, or related field
Strong command of Excel (financial modeling) and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights
Proven experience in building and presenting to senior leadership and stakeholders
Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable working cross‑functionally and leading through influence
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
Primarily office‑based or remote; minimal travel (less than 10%)
Comfortable indoor workspace with flexible working conditions
