Position Summary The Tax Senior is responsible for the accuracy of all financials and ensures deadlines are consistently met. This internal, non‑client‑facing role works with the Business Management (BM) team to super‑serve the Tri Star client. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment.

Responsibilities

Review financial statements and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.

Ensure the issuance of financial reporting packages (annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly deliverables).

Implement and maintain policies and procedures, offering improvements to meet best business practices.

Assist in training, development, and education of the accounting teams.

Oversee tax work‑paper preparation; liaise with the tax Manager to provide necessary data for all tax processes.

Sign off on 1099 reports before tax team review.

Work with the team to establish ad‑hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.

Review and summarize client agreements; review annual insurance renewals; finalize budgets and monthly reporting to clients.

Oversee estate planning, ensuring estate plans are in place and assets properly titled.

Review ad‑hoc projects; approve monthly commission reports; establish financial and operating metrics.

Ensure creation of budgets and forecast; oversee monthly budget vs. actual reporting.

Ensure annual payroll reconciles to GL and meets all payroll compliance requirements.

Maintain a log of all filings and reported information, providing accountability for accuracy and timeliness.

Collaborate with the tax team on deliverables, providing client documentation to meet tax deadlines.

Participate in new client roll‑ins, ensuring the scope of services is fully understood.

Proactively identify and communicate with management on all issues or concerns.

Provide timely and accurate information to clients; anticipate problems and provide solutions.

Develop presentations for management and utilize technology to support all tasks.

Qualifications

Ability to reliably commute and report to the Tri Star office.

Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with a strong academic record.

5‑7+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation.

5+ years in a tax‑specific role performing preparation or financial review, or a Master’s in Taxation (required).

Experience within entertainment, family office, or business management industries and/or HNWI services.

Proficiency in QuickBooks, advanced Excel, and data‑analysis tools.
