Senior Construction Project Manager
Join Harris as a Senior Construction Project Manager in Salt Lake City, UT.
Role Overview As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction to ensure project standards, budget, deadlines, and communications are maintained.
Responsibilities
Manage Safety Compliance and foster a culture of safety: perform site walkthroughs, ensure safety compliance, conduct audits, toolbox talks, and pre‑task planning.
Document Control: review, organize, and distribute contract documents, shop drawings, and submittals; log activities; track RFIs and responses; attend coordination meetings and distribute notes.
Schedule Management: provide duration/task info to GC, develop weekly/bi‑weekly work plans, modify plans, manage labor requirements, and attend manpower meetings.
Procurement Coordination: maintain equipment procurement logs, track rentals, coordinate shipping schedules.
Estimation: collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to estimate projects; prepare estimates using estimating software; attend pre‑bid and project turnover meetings.
Financial Management: track labor productivity, report job financial status, manage change orders, assemble billings, and handle lien rights and collections.
Sales Support: build industry relationships, attend customer events, communicate company capabilities, support division sales goals.
Other tasks as directed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience in the building and construction industry, including construction management and knowledge of design techniques.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to read construction documents.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Experience in business administration, finance, customer relations, business development, and project sales strategies.
Location Salt Lake City, UT (Remote/Hybrid available).
Salary Range $102,934 - $154,401 per year.
