Assistant Vice President Employee Benefits

Dedham, MA .
The Assistant Vice President Employee Benefits is responsible for employee benefits account management. This includes day to day client contact. Utilizes technical expertise to retain present clients. Administers marketing and renewal functions. Assist clients with daily service functions. Assists Team Lead, where applicable, in servicing the financial consulting needs of the employee benefit clients. Independently evaluates financial and utilization metrics for clients including but not limited to monthly financial reports, utilization metrics and benchmarks as well as assist with other ad hoc reports and analysis.
How You Will Contribute
Senior Benefit Consultant Essential Duties+
Owner of client relationship
Final decision maker and leader on Brown & Brown benefit strategy & deliverables
Leader for all client meetings within Book of Business
Ability to self-generate new business opportunities
Mastering ability to close producer prospects
Proven strong relationships with the producer team
Lead weekly team meetings, tasks assignments, training & onboarding of direct reports
Actively pursue opportunities for client revenue enhancement (as well as regularly track revenue)
Periodically participating at industry events as representative of Leadership
Learning to self-generate new business opportunities
Manage a book of $750k+ of revenue
Directly supervise 1 or more team members
Pursues a course of personal, professional development.
Licenses And Certifications
Insurance Producer license in good standing (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business)
Skills & Experience To Be Successful
Minimum of 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
8+ years employee benefits experience with a thorough understanding and knowledge of employee benefits
4+ years financial experience
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.)
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Strong technical knowledge of the industry of expertise currently being targeted.
This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the team member to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
Pay Range $180k - $200k Annual
The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
