Mojo Trek is hiring: QA Tester (Mobile / POS) in Columbus

Overview

Mojo Trek, an Inc. 5000 company, delivers technology recruitment with transparency and integrity. Our partner is looking for a QA Consultant to test Digital and Point Of Sale (POS) applications. As the QA Consultant you will work closely with multiple teams to test various applications on multiple platforms, develop test cases, log defects, provide test reports, and perform related activities.

Responsibilities

• Test Web, Mobile, and POS applications across platforms (including in-store applications such as POS, kitchen displays, and receipt printers).
• Create test cases and defect reports; document testing progress and results.
• Perform Smoke, Functional, and Regression testing.
• Collaborate with developers and automation testers to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Plan, implement, and track end‑to‑end testing activities with development teams.
• Provide effective failure analysis and consistent testing status reporting to the team and leadership.
• Support test planning, manual and automated test cases/scripts, and test execution; analyze results from manual and automated tests.
• Coach and mentor other QAs to contribute to effective testing practices.
• Maintain a high level of quality by ensuring products meet defined Acceptance Criteria.

Qualifications

• Total 7+ years of experience in Web/Mobile/POS testing.
• Experience testing web applications.
• Experience testing Mobile Native apps (iOS and Android); test automation experience preferred.
• Experience in POS testing (preferably NCR Aloha) and in-store applications (POS, kitchen displays, receipt printers, etc.).
• Experience in testing catalogs and menus.
• Expertise in test case creation, defect creation, and test documentation.
• Experience with Smoke, Functional, and Regression testing.
• Working understanding of Agile software development.
• Experience with Jira/Jenkins/Git integration.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to independently execute automation for iOS and Android (Appium for cross-platform implementation); experience with Appium, Selenium, Java is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with development teams and other testers to deliver quality software.

Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH Metropolitan Area (onsite).
• Employment type: Contract.
• Duration: 4 months.
• Schedule: On-site, 5 days a week.
