Purpose of Role:
The Prime Margin Risk Manager will develop a first-level risk management framework for the Prime Clearing business, working with control partners to ensure proper client selection and overall risk management.
The Prime Services department is a full-service Prime Broker offering services to hedge funds, professional traders, family offices, and mutual funds, including trading execution, clearing, settlement, reporting, financing, stock loans, and high-touch client service.
Responsibilities:
Enhance decision-making for resource allocation to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
Collaborate with Risk and Credit teams to calibrate margin and risk methodologies.
Evaluate new business opportunities based on risk, strategy, creditworthiness, and return metrics.
Participate in marketing and client pitches.
Review client portfolios daily to assess risk and ensure compliance.
Review and optimize client pricing to meet targeted metrics and adjust pricing engines as needed.
Optimize resource utilization, including balance sheet and working capital, and analyze client profitability.
Work with control partners to develop return targets and maintain client base at or above these levels.
Collaborate with Product Management, Risk, and Technology to ensure the dashboard provides necessary risk information and alerts.
Identify gaps and improve prime infrastructure continually.
Liaise with clients globally, including banks, hedge funds, market makers, and trading firms.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC, etc.).
Adhere to operational risk frameworks and internal policies, reporting breaches as required.

Required Qualifications:
Extensive knowledge and experience in Global Markets or Prime Services.
Understanding of systems and processes across Front, Mid, and Back-Office functions in Prime Services.
Ability to communicate complex issues effectively to senior leaders.
Proven multi-tasking and project management skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience with ongoing education.
Excellent troubleshooting and deductive reasoning skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least five years of experience in Prime Brokerage services.
Deep knowledge of Financial Markets, especially Equity Clearing and Prime Brokerage.
Experience with service providers like Broadridge, BPS, QlikView, Bloomberg EMSX, etc.
Strong project management skills.
Salary Range:
