This position is part of a multi-year tax modernization effort for the NYS tax department. The role focuses on modernizing the IT infrastructure and applications, including development platforms and processes to a more agile approach. Responsibilities

Lead DevOps architecture for integrating technologies into applications build and deployment pipelines. Guide DevOps architecture and design sessions, ensuring solutions align with agency’s strategic direction. Integrate disparate technologies, products, and applications into a robust architectural platform. Abstract technical implementation specifics from application development to enable a loosely coupled, agile development model. Design and implement productivity tools to support rapid application development. Install software on OpenShift Container Platform through Kubernetes Operators. Configure GITLab Runner Pipelines and GITLab CI/CD pipelines. Manage Helm and Argo configuration management in GITLab. Conduct performance analysis and recommend improvements. Present technical solution proposals to management and infrastructure support teams. Document technical solutions and design training material. Conduct training sessions for DevOps and Architecture teams. Qualifications

84+ months of experience as a Software Architect with guidance to large teams. 60 months experience with Kubernetes Operators in OpenShift Container Platform. 48 months experience creating GITLab Runner CI/CD pipelines. 60 months experience with Helm or Argo configurations. 84 months experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines. 48 months experience integrating CI/CD Pipelines with Conjur for Secret Management.
