Assembler/Tester A - Military Flight Controls Division

Parker Hannifin offers a challenging role within its Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD). This position involves assembling and testing moderately complex products to meet quality and delivery targets, with potential responsibilities across mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and multiple part numbers. The role supports lean initiatives and requires safe, precise work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs moderately complex assembly/test functions using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, test equipment, and inspection measurement devices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Records test results on data forms using electrical test equipment; may use X–Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, and related tools.
  • Identifies malfunctions from test data and reworks as instructed.
  • Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, service bulletins, customer requirements, and quality directives.
  • Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specifications; assembles, tests, and/or solders to applicable standards.
  • Performs touch‑up or full surface painting of parts with finishing materials and maintains proper cleaning procedures.
  • Actively participates in lean initiatives by identifying areas for improvement.
  • May assist in training less experienced team members.
  • Observes all safety rules and maintains a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area.
  • Ensures equipment is calibrated in accordance with the calibration schedule.
  • May perform other related responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Two or more years of industry-related experience in assembly/testing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates product and process knowledge and applies it to newly learned techniques.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications; able to perform basic math and use standard computer skills.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning and ability to apply lean initiatives.
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to interpret reports and use standard business software.
  • May require soldering certification per customer requirements.
  • Ability to engage in goal setting, performance feedback, and self-development activities.

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $22.50/hour to $34.70/hour.
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program.
