Senior Software Engineer, Device OS/Security
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company focused on transforming military capabilities with advanced technology. Our DeviceOS team develops the operating system that powers Anduril’s robots, enabling software to run on robotic systems across land, sea, and air.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, field test, and deploy security features on embedded Linux systems (userspace, kernel, firmware).
Work with security teams to define requirements and implement security‑related features in ARM TrustZone and other environments.
Handle cryptographic keys securely, leveraging hardware support on embedded chips.
Secure embedded Linux systems and contribute to platform security and firmware development.
Required Qualifications
Experience designing and implementing security features on embedded Linux systems.
Deep familiarity with Linux kernel, platform firmware (e.g., u‑boot, EDK2), trusted OS (OP‑TEE, Trusty), or security processor firmware.
Knowledge of security‑relevant features of ARM chips (Xilinx or NVIDIA Jetson preferred).
Proficiency in C and/or Rust.
Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export‑controlled information.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience implementing cryptographic key management with validated hardware.
Knowledge of secure/verified boot, device attestation, authentication protocols.
Experience with Rust.
Clearance eligible.
Salary Range US: $191,000 – $253,000 USD (base salary only; equity and benefits included in total compensation).
