Overview Visionist has an exciting new fully FUNDED opportunity for an Automation Software Engineer on our largest PRIME contract. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission, crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base. This premier program encompasses traditional software services including Systems Design and Engineering, Database Administration, Data Science and Knowledge Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Integration and Test, as well as Operations and Systems Support. Contributions
Develop and maintain scalable, secure Python applications, APIs, and microservices
Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using common cloud providers
Utilize DevOps best practices to integrate CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
Optimize and troubleshoot system performance, scalability, and reliability in cloud environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and data engineering, to ensure applications and infrastructure meet business requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
12 years of experience in software development
Production-grade software development experience in Python
Experience deploying and managing services in cloud hosting environments such as AWS or Azure
Experience with service containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
Familiarity with Git for version control
Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
