Job Title: NYPA IBM Maximo Developer (IT-1278)

Job Function: Engineering and Information Technology

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and support application solutions using Maximo 7.6.x / MAS.

Execute MAS 8/9 migration, especially from on‑prem to cloud (SaaS).

Apply knowledge of Manage, Spatial and Mobile modules.

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional specifications.

Provide production support and resolve user issues related to system performance, availability, and functionality.

Work directly with client team members and colleagues to achieve project goals.

Develop and share functional and business expertise within the team.

Configure Maximo components such as databases, escalations, cron tasks, domains, and Conditional Expression Manager.

Implement Java customizations and automation scripts.

Integrate Maximo with external applications such as SAP and Ariba.

Collaborate with middleware teams to deliver solutions.

Coordinate with the Infrastructure team to resolve infrastructure issues.

Maintain technical knowledge of WebSphere.

Design and develop BIRT reports.

Write SQL scripts to provide data extracts on demand.

Qualifications

Knowledge of systems and software debugging.

Experience with standard application development design, reporting, and project management tools.

Proven ability to install and configure systems specific to software infrastructure.

Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for software and system issues involving infrastructure modules.

Ability to monitor and maintain performance metrics and recommend corrective actions.

Experience directing or conducting implementation of enhancements or changes involving custom design, optional software, and third‑party products.

Experience with configuration, change management, and testing activities.

Team‑based experience on cross‑functional technology projects.

Technical knowledge of all phases of software implementation and support.

Ability to deploy solutions to the operational production environment.

Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Six years of experience supporting applications like Maximo, Datasplice.

Proficiency with Windows Server 2003–2008–2012 and hands‑on understanding of operating systems.

Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, user rights, NTFS permissions, security configuration, group policy, and backup systems.

Experience with relational databases and Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum of 6‑8 years of with the Maximo Application suite.
