Overview As a Platform Engineer at Speechify, you will build and maintain backend services—including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text‑to‑speech, and external APIs. This key role is for someone strategic, fast‑paced, product‑driven, and experienced delivering great user experiences.
What You’ll Do
Design, develop, maintain robust APIs, including public TTS API and internal APIs such as Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking, meeting business and scalability requirements.
Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing performance and maintainability.
Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration for enterprise clients.
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience.
Ideal Candidate
Proven backend development experience with TS/Node (required).
Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
Efficient ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.
Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Preferred: Proficiency deploying high‑availability applications on Kubernetes.

Salary United States–based salary range: $140,000–$200,000 USD/Year + bonus + stock, depending on experience.
