Job Summary Our Clinical Lab Scientists perform clinical testing in one or more of the following areas: blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, urinalysis, coagulation, special chemistry, microbiology and manual tests.

Responsibilities

You will perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures in the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and immunohematology. According to established procedures and policies

You will perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, interpret results as to their accuracy, acceptability and critical limits and organizes work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained

You will work actively and be cooperative with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care as well as assist with regulatory compliance

Qualifications

Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license per CA State Board

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university

At least one year of acute care hospital experience; new grads will be considered
