Tune Shop Supervisor | Full Time Seasonal

Overview
As aTuning / Demo / Hardgoods supervisoryou are responsible for working directly with guests and retail hard goods staff to fit, service, and maintain snowboarding and alpine skiing equipment including, but not limited to binding mounting and adjustments, equipment repair, tuning, and waxing, basic machine maintenance, hardgoods sales, ski/snowboard demo setup, maintaining hardgoods / parts inventory.
Responsibilities
Greeting customers as they enter the ski shop, and provide them with information on available skiing and snowboarding equipment and supplies
Overseeing daily operations of tuning / hardgoods department
Tuning and repair of skis and snowboards
Perform binding calibrations, testing, and certifications
Mounting and testing of bindings
Complete, track, and file necessary paperwork
Maintain cleanliness and organization of shop and storefront area
Cross-trained in all Retail Shop positions
Understanding our products and services, what guests need and how to raise the bar to provide excellent service to customers, general public and employees
Must be able to multitask in a busy retail environment and be a team player
Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays
RESPONSIBILITIES TO SAFETY
Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Loon Mountain Resort guests at all times.
Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.
Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.
Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures.
Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury of yourself or others.
Drive in accordance with the law and Loon Mountain Resort policies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervise up to 5 employees in the tuning / hardgoods store. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, assigning and directing work, addressing complaints, resolving problems.
Qualifications This job might be for you if:

You are at least 18 years old
You have achieved a high school diploma or degree equivalent
You are available to work weekends and holidays
You have 3 years of ski/snowboard tuning and binding mounting/adjusting experience
You are interested in a customer service based position thatinvolves customer interaction
You are able to communicate effectively, work well with a team and are detail oriented
The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing these functions, the employee is regularly asked to stand, sit, talk, walk, lift, and use hands or fingers, reach. The employee must be able to lift or move approximately 50 lbs.
