About the role The Director of Finance & Accounting reports to the CFO of Nox Medical and serves as a senior financial leader for Nox Medical / Diagnostic Solutions in North America, with responsibility for the finance and accounting functions in both Nox Medical US and Nox Medical Canada.
This role provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for all aspects of accounting, reporting, and financial planning within the Diagnostic Solutions division in North America. The Director is accountable for ensuring strong financial governance, accurate and timely reporting, adherence to US GAAP and relevant international standards, and delivering insights that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
In addition, the Director partners with commercial and operational teams to strengthen processes that support sales effectiveness, order fulfillment, and customer delivery. The role plays a critical part in building financial systems and workflows that improve the efficiency of commercial teams, reduce friction in sales-to-cash processes, and enable scalable growth for both traditional product sales and new SaaS-based revenue models.
What you’ll do Commercial & Operational Support
Partner with commercial and sales fulfillment teams to improve processes around billing, collections, and related financial processes that directly support the customer experience and commercial efficiency
Maintain and design financial systems and procedures that reduce administrative burden and increase efficiency for commercial teams
Provide operational support to sales leaders by embedding financial processes into contract execution, fulfillment, and post-sales support
Support SaaS and recurring-revenue lines by ensuring scalable billing, revenue recognition, and reporting processes
Collaborate with operations and supply chain to strengthen financial oversight of inventory management and sales fulfillment
Controllership & Compliance
Responsible for the core accounting functions, including general ledger, chart of accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany consolidations, and internal controls
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and maintain accuracy across the trial balance, income statement, and balance sheet
Oversee monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate reconcilia- tions, accruals, and financial reporting
Evaluate and maintain the chart of accounts and cost/profit center design for appropriateness and accuracy
Oversee bank reconciliations, asset capitalization, and depreciation/amortization schedules in accordance with relevant accounting standards
Take ownership of accounts receivable collections by ensuring disciplined AR management, maintaining an accurate receivables ledger, and building effective processes that support timely collections and reduction of risk
Reconcile intercompany receivables and payables, ensuring proper eliminations during monthly consolidation
Partner with business units on accounting implications of business decisions to ensure accurate and transparent reporting
Coordinate with external auditors as needed, ensuring timely support for audits, resolution of findings, and tie-outs to audited financial statements.
Oversee tax compliance and reporting, coordinating with external advisors to optimize use of applicable tax codes (sales, property, franchise, real estate, use tax)
Provide guidance on sales tax requirements and compliance, ensuring alignment with sales processes and contracts
Develop, maintain, and enhance finance systems infrastructure, ensuring ERP and reporting platforms support business scalability, automation, and accuracy
Build, document, and optimize financial and operational processes to strengthen internal controls, improve efficiency, and support cross-functional execution
Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and supply chain teams to integrate finance into end-to-end processes from sales to fulfillment
Work with global Nox Health finance leaders to ensure consistency of standards, governance, and best practices across entities
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for system upgrades, process automation, and cross-department collaboration
Qualifications
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or Chartered Accountant designation strongly preferred
7+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with demonstrated leadership in both controllership and operational finance roles
Strong expertise in US GAAP
Experience improving sales support processes, including billing, collections, and fulfillment integration
Knowledge and experience building financial processes for SaaS/subscription-based business models.
Experience in inventory management and sales tax compliance
Track record of leading audits, managing external reporting, and ensuring tax compliance
Proven ability to manage ERP and reporting systems, with a focus on automation and scalability
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or similar ERP platforms) is a strong plus
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership teams
