The recently merged analytics and enterprise applications team is at the center of several current and planned initiatives that will enhance the College’s ability to use data, analytics, and AI as strategic differentiators. As the

Data & AI Integrations Engineer , you will design and build pipelines, data models, intelligent services, and the interconnectivity that power everything from our next-generation data platform and ERP to campus-wide knowledge management. This is a hands-on, “full-stack data” role for someone who thrives on variety: one day you’ll orchestrate a pipeline to load and transform new data into our Fabric lakehouse; the next you’ll craft an API-driven integration, stand up a SharePoint knowledge hub, or prototype a chatbot that improves the Trinity digital experience for students, employees, and other constituents. Duties and Responsibilities

Design, develop, optimize, and operate data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric and related tools for the efficient collection, storage, transformation, and presentation of data. Implement data quality, lineage, and metadata-driven practices to support high-quality, fit for purpose data products, supporting analytics, reporting, integration, and AI use cases. Design, build, and operate secure integrations among enterprise applications, SaaS, on-prem systems, and external data sources using iPaaS, ELT tools, and custom code. Co-administer the institutional data platform with repeatable patterns, CI/CD, and automation for enterprise-grade data solutions and maintain best practice templates for self-service development by power users. Partner with application developers and administrators to prototype and operationalize AI/ML services, utilizing capabilities within Microsoft Fabric, Azure, M365, and other tools. Partner with information security to ensure solutions align with best practices. Co-administer SharePoint Online with a focus on enabling knowledge management capabilities and integration with Power BI and Fabric. Translate business requirements from analysts and subject matter experts into resilient technical designs, while maintaining robust documentation of standards, processes, and designs. Perform other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need. Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience is required (5-8 years preferred). Experience building production data pipelines and/or application integrations (preferably in a cloud environment). Demonstrated expertise with SQL and at least one high-level programming language (preferably Python, R, and C#). Demonstrated experience with APIs, authentication designs, and networking considerations. Experience administering SharePoint Online sites and platforms, and other related Microsoft 365 workloads. Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts and services, model evaluation, and prompt engineering. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI and Tableau), data preparation tools (e.g., Tableau Prep Builder), and survey administration tools (e.g., Qualtrics). Strong problem-solving, analytical, time management, and communication skills. Understanding of higher education data sets, concepts, business practices, and reporting requirements. Ability to uphold a professional code of ethics and maintain confidentiality. Trinity College is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
