Job Description:
Strategic Business Systems is hiring a SharePoint Administrator SME. This individual will make meaningful contributions that fuel critical outcomes for some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects.
Meaningful Work and Personal Impact As a SharePoint Administrator Expert (SME), the work you’ll do will be impactful supporting mission of US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM).
Responsibilities
Provide Microsoft SharePoint 2019 administrator support for a large customer within the DoD community. Administrator will be tasked with assisting in the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint 2019 architectures.
Assist with SharePoint farm upgrades and deployments.
Experience and knowledge with SharePoint Online administration.
Experience administering Windows Servers, Active Directory including ADFS, DNS, SMTP, Network Load Balancing, Windows Firewall, Event Viewer Performance Monitoring and PowerShell scripting.
Experience configuring and maintaining SharePoint Enterprise search, index configurations, and scheduling.
Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server in a SharePoint environment.
Provide critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting including site problems, address site permission issues, creation and configuration of sites and sub‑sites, assist in definition of site resources.
Plan for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches during off‑peak time as required and communicate any downtime to business.
Perform data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
Ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean‑ups and archiving data.
Review usage and activity reports and adjust systems to ensure optimized user‑experience.
Experience with Information Assurance practices and principles (ex. STIGs).
Provide or coordinate security operations functions in support of cybersecurity accreditation‑risk management framework (RMF) continuous monitoring process.
Participate in the design and implementation of methods, procedures, and systems to improve the processing and flow of information within the organization.
Develop workflows, automations and other PowerApps to improve pilot/project delivery and artifact management.
Enable knowledge flow to enhance shared understanding, learning and decision‑making for programs critical to effective mission command (MC).
May serve as a technical consultant to a project or several projects dealing with area of technical expertise.
Coordinate with contract management and Government personnel to ensure the problems have been properly defined and the solutions satisfy customer needs.
Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements for a wide variety of projects; consult with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects.
Perform functional modeling based on requirements analysis.
Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
Identify emerging relevant technologies that may result in improvements to current processes and systems.
Write and update project documentation including system procedures, presentations, and training materials.
May serve as technical team or task lead.
What You’ll Need to Succeed Education
High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge/experience of Army command structures and ability to integrate knowledge into SharePoint infrastructure for leadership and user consumption.
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with strong customer service.
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively including attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications like Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint.
Required Certifications
DoD 8570.01‑M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contract.
IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent.
Required Computing Environment Certification: MCSA Windows Server 2019, Azure Administrator Fundamentals, or equivalent.
Additional
Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
Position may require lifting of objects (i.e. IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e. plug in cables) and other moderately strenuous activity.
Travel may be required to support the mission.
