Nuclear Medicine Technologist HC
Position Summary
Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures.
Responsibilities
Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician
Follows radiation safety techniques when disposing radioactive materials
Performs a variety of tasks
Typically reports to chief technologist or manager
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Nuclear Medicine or successful completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program preferred
Current Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within one year of hire
PET/CT experience preferred
Working Conditions
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Frequent stooping, bending, reaching, lifting and pushing heavy equipment

Kootenai Heart Clinics has offices in Coeur d'Alene, Spokane and Sandpoint as well as satellite clinics throughout northern Idaho, eastern Washington and western Montana. Heart Clinics Northwest's board certified cardiologists provide high level comprehensive cardiovascular care, including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Heart Clinics Northwest employs 150 people, including 24 physicians.
