Overview
The Talent Acquisition Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle recruiting and managing a high-volume desk. This includes sourcing, qualifying, screening, conducting interviews, facilitating interviews with hiring managers, debriefs and decision-making sessions, and placing successful candidates. The ideal candidate can independently manage a large number of open positions and coordinate communication between management and candidates. Remote position with travel to Peekskill, NY once a month.
Responsibilities
- Build credibility and relationships with internal customers (hiring managers) through expertise, positive influence, realistic expectations, and delivery of commitments.
- Obtain an in-depth understanding of open positions, including experience, skills, and competencies needed for success.
- Manage internal transfers, facilitate HR compliance, interviews, and compensation review.
- Screen and qualify candidates based on requirements determined by hiring managers.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely feedback and status updates, guiding candidates through the process, negotiating and delivering fair and equitable offers.
- Navigate and update applicant tracking system (ATS) requisitions, postings, and third-party postings daily.
- Partner with hiring managers to fill open positions effectively and efficiently using recruitment best practices.
- Partner with the onboarding team for a smooth transition from offer to start date.
- Coach hiring managers on interviewing, decision-making, and compliant hiring practices.
- Formulate and utilize diverse recruitment channels for long-term recruitment strategy.
- Build a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need through various sourcing techniques.
- Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
- Negotiate offers and close candidates.
- Develop recruiting materials, monitor the internal job page, and prepare print advertisements and job board postings.
- Develop offer letters and agreements.
- Follow all corporate hiring policies/practices and all federal, state, and local legal requirements.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, groups, and employees.
- Maintain accurate reporting and develop improved reporting metrics.
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Essential Skills: Recruiting and ATS experience, especially in high-volume environments such as healthcare or corporate settings.
- Talent acquisition and human resources expertise.
- Proficiency in full-cycle recruiting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems.
- HR support knowledge.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications: 3+ years recruitment experience. Bachelor's Degree.
Work Environment
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. This is a remote position with travel to the Peekskill office and career fairs up to 1–2 times a month, depending on the time of year.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be specific to elections, plan, or program terms.
