Responsibilities

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. Our main campus is located in Denison, Texas, approximately one hour north of the Dallas/Fort Worth area and just south of the Texas/Oklahoma border. In addition, we have numerous facilities in locations throughout the Texoma region. Since 1965, TMC has forged a special relationship with the people of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma. Texoma residents have come to depend on TMC to meet a spectrum of physical, mental and spiritual needs. TMC has responded with unique services to provide the kind of sophisticated, experienced care that was once available only in major metropolitan areas. We offer major specialty services including open heart surgery and neurosurgery. Advanced resources such as certified trauma care support TMC's role as a regional specialty center.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a variety of tasks including coordinating all facets of general staffing operations (recruitment, hiring, onboarding, etc.) for assigned units/departments in various TMC Market facilities. Handle employee relations and compensation effectively for assigned areas, bringing any serious and/or pertinent issues to the attention of the HR Manager or Market HRD. Handle areas of responsible in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws as well as UHS and TMC Market policies. May be assigned a variety of projects relative to Human Resources and employee relations.

Qualifications

BA or BS degree in Human Resources, Personnel Administration, Business Administration or related field required or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of five (5) years in Human Resources required, experience in healthcare strongly preferred. Hospital based experience preferred.

At least one of the following certifications preferred: SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, CHHR, CEBS or CCP.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of applicants and customers. Able to work both independently and as an effective team member of the Human Resources department. Must be self motivated, and able to handle sensitive and confidential information discreetly. Makes recommendations to management and staff based on relevant information available. Consistently demonstratives critical thinking skills and good judgment. Proficient with computer programs to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), HRIS, recruitment and payroll. Demonstrates familiarity with applicable laws relative to wage and hour and Human Resources functions/processes. Develops strong skill set relative to pay equity and salary quotes. Must be accurate and timely with providing calculations.
