A Cashier is an important member of our Star Nursery team. Often the first person a customer sees when entering our stores, our Cashiers ensure that final step of the Star Nursery shopping experience is efficient and pleasant. Our Cashiers accurately record the sale of merchandise for our customers while maintaining a great attitude and professional completion of the sale.
- Ring up customers
- Keep front end clean and stocked
- Answer telephones
- Straighten and dust merchandise
- Check for consistent pricing
- Sweep floors as needed
- Order/Make signs when necessary
- Pick up trash
- Face and restock shelves and end caps
- Other Duties as Assigned
Physical Aspects of the job
- Frequently bending, twisting and rotating trunk, arms and legs
- Standing 100% of the time/walking 99% of the time/climbing 10% of the time
- Working with arms extended and bent constantly
- Frequently moving parts and stock weighing up to 35 pounds, 10 to 50 feet
- Occasionally moving parts and stock weighing up to 50 pounds; pushing and pulling

- Occasionally moving and stocking overhead shelves with parts weighing 5 to 15 pounds
