What You Will Do

• Maintain equipment and collateral to ensure proper function and appearance
• Complete the required Ecolab QSR visit reports based on the customer’s mandated visit frequency (annually, quarterly, biannual, etc.)
• Install equipment including warewash machines, water filtration systems, 3-compartment and mop sinks for existing customers and new restaurant setup
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and long-term work plans for the territory and customers to increase effectiveness and productivity
• Facilitate the sale of Ecolab products by making suggestions for improvements with existing products and new innovations
• Maintain knowledge of products and their applications for each specific customer
• Demonstrate and train customers on use of Ecolab products and services
• Maintain positive relationships with customers by evaluating their needs with a focus on sales opportunities
• Engage the right resources to resolve problems
• Manage inventory by merchandising existing inventory and identifying causes for slow sales in core products
• Meet with store management to provide feedback and findings after the store survey and make recommendations for improvement
• Complete required paperwork including updating customer contact records and the territory management system
• Utilize electronic and paper reports and other communication devices to communicate with customers, district manager, and the home office
• Maintain adequate levels of car stock inventory to support customer needs and keep inventory organized
• Acquire knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles and their application for customers in food handling and cleaning procedures
• Complete the ICFSM exam training and become certified in Food Safety
• Manage emergency calls including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Plan days out of the field for meetings, vacations, time off, training, and rollouts with minimal impact to the district’s objectives
• Willing to assist in covering open territories as needed
• Perform and complete other tasks as directed by management

Position Details

This is a field-based position and may require travel to Omaha, Lincoln, Grand Island, McCook, Beatrice and surrounding areas.

Overnight Travel

• 10 overnights per month

Weekend Rotation

• Responsible for weekend coverage 1 in every 11 weeks

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4 years of food industry experience
• 21 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
• Availability to provide emergency call assistance which may occur at night, on weekends and over holidays
• Microsoft Office Experience
• No Immigration Sponsorship available

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Position requires the ability to drive and/or fly to client locations as needed; you are responsible to have proper documentation to fly such as a Real ID or other acceptable form of identification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Mechanical experience (plumbing, electrical) and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Food safety knowledge/experience or CP-FS certification
• Military experience
• Previous business-to-business sales experience

Compensation

The total compensation range for this position is $57,100-$85,700 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Compensation factors include experience, education, training, geography, etc. Ecolab complies with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
