The Dental Lab Ceramist is responsible for designing, building, layering, and finishing ceramic restorations such as crowns, veneers, bridges, and implant restorations. This role requires strong attention to detail, artistic ability, and knowledge of dental anatomy and function. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate and finish ceramic restorations (all-ceramic, zirconia, veneers, etc.) Layer porcelain for optimal esthetics, shade matching, and translucency Stain, glaze, contour, and polish crowns and bridges Read and interpret dentist prescriptions, models, scans, and shade photos Work with digital design software and/or analog methods as needed Communicate with dentists and team members to ensure case accuracy and quality Maintain proper documentation and case organization Follow lab protocols and quality control standards Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Qualifications: Required: Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a dental ceramist (or equivalent training) Strong understanding of dental anatomy, occlusion, and esthetics Proficiency in ceramic layering and staining/glazing techniques Experience with zirconia, e.max, and other modern materials High attention to detail and artistic skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong communication and teamwork skills Preferred (but not required): Digital design experience (Exocad, 3Shape, etc.) CDT Certification What We Offer: Competitive pay Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, PTO, etc.) Modern lab environment and high-quality materials Growth and continuing education opportunities Supportive, collaborative team
