Hood Container Corporation is looking for a talented individual like you to join our growing team in
Atlanta
, GA . The
Die Room/Tooling Coordinator
will handle all printing plates, cutting dies, and ink for shift operation by ensuring material is ready at the machine to enable a smooth change over.
How you will contribute:
Read & interpret
job order information, specifications, and requirements Deliver plates, dies, and identification to press , ready for set-up; return same to die room on completion of run and store in good condition. Perform necessary repairs
on dies before storage. Keeping plates press-ready , including premounting, remounting, and making necessary changes to mounted plates. Keeping the
storage area
organized. Maintaining printing plates and cutting die records ; checking plates for accuracy when received. Checking orders
for discrepancies and ensuring that proper ink is available.
What it takes:
Basic Mechanical skills
to make repairs using hand tools Attention to detail
and ability to recognize minor discrepancies or deviations Experience
working in a manufacturing environment Willing & able to
lift and/or push up to 50 lbs Effective communication
skills (oral & written) Ability to
use and read
a ruler/tape-measure Ability to
operate mobile equipment , experience operating a forklift preferred Willing & able to
work overtime and weekends
as needed
