Job Summary: Cherished Hearts Private Home Care, LLC is hiring a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to support adults in recovery from substance use challenges through our Addictive Disease Peer Support Program. This position is ideal for someone who has lived experience with addiction and is stable in their own recovery. The CPS will offer one-on-one and group support to individuals navigating recovery, while encouraging hope, personal empowerment, and wellness. You will use your experience and voice to support others on their journey.

Responsibilities: Provide peer support services to adults living with substance use disorders or co-occurring mental health conditions. Facilitate recovery groups on topics such as relapse prevention, self-care, coping strategies, and building support systems. Share your lived experience in recovery to inspire and guide others. Assist individuals with creating and following personal recovery goals. Connect individuals to recovery resources and supportive community options. Accurately document all peer support services according to DBHDD and Medicaid guidelines. Model recovery values such as honesty, accountability, and personal responsibility. Attend supervision, staff meetings, and continuing education as required. Minimum Requirements: Must hold a current Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) credential in the state of Georgia. Must have at least 12 consecutive months in recovery from a substance use disorder (SUD). High school diploma or GED. Reliable transportation and ability to provide support in various community settings. Strong communication skills and ability to maintain healthy boundaries. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience working in community-based recovery programs. Familiarity with group facilitation and peer recovery models such as 12-step, WRAP, SMART Recovery, or harm-reduction approaches. Experience working with underserved or justice-involved populations is a plus.

Schedule: Flexible scheduling available. Shifts may include weekday mornings, afternoons, or early evenings.
