You will partner with engineering and business teams to deliver robust, commercially viable solutions. Reporting to the AMD Product Security Office, you will champion shift-left best practices, evaluate and pilot security tools for hardware design, and collaborate with the central front-end team to scale adoption company-wide. You will guide functional and security testing, including fuzzing, fault injection, side-channel analysis, and red-team exercises, while balancing security with performance, area, power, cost, and schedule. Location: Austin, TX Base pay range $192,480.00/yr - $288,720.00/yr The Role Role responsibilities include driving security across the silicon lifecycle, integrating secure design practices, and ensuring secure sign-off gates with measurable success. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in semiconductor architecture, design, and verification (RTL, UVM, formal, emulation) and strong scripting/tooling skills. Knowledge of secure boot, key management, roots of trust, lifecycle control, anti-tamper, and debug/test access protections, as well as standards such as ISO 21434, Common Criteria, and FIPS 140-3, is highly valued. Success will be measured by adoption of security gates, faster closure of high-risk findings, improved team competency, successful certifications, positive customer feedback, and clear risk reporting to leadership.
