Join a dynamic team at a brand new, 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery set to open in late 2024 at a leading medical center in Belmont, NC. As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to newborns in a facility that has been recognized among the top 100 hospitals by Thomson Reuters. Located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte, this position offers a unique blend of professional challenge and lifestyle advantages.
Job Responsibilities:- Conduct daily rounding on newborns in-house and provide on-call support from home.
- Attend deliveries as needed and provide immediate care to newborns.
- Stabilize and manage newborns requiring higher-level care, facilitating transport to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia.
- Work as part of a team consisting of 4 NNPs with support from a Level III NICU staffed by neonatologists and additional NNPs.
- Engage in continuing education and possible supplemental shifts at the Level III NICU as desired.
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Current APRN National Specialty Certification - Board Certified NNP (no other NP certifications accepted).
- A minimum of 2 years of employment experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (not including RN experience).
- Ability to obtain an NC license if not already licensed.
- DEA certification to be obtained prior to start date.
- NC state license (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Board Certified NNP designation.
- DEA certification (mandatory before start).
