Job Summary

You will be responsible for providing care for emergency patients presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions across a diverse population. This includes assessing, stabilizing, and managing patients with varying acuity and conditions, from minor/non‑urgent to critical/emergent.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence‑based emergency nursing care.
• Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, and management of patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Utilize advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols.
• Participate in daily shift hand‑offs and team debriefings.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
• Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Continuously improve clinical skills through continuing education and certification maintenance.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• One year of related work experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Certifications and Licensure

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
• Completion of a Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) class required within 12 months of hire and must be maintained.
• Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certification required within 12 months of hire and must be maintained.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire and must be maintained.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of hire and must be maintained.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred.
