Job Summary
You will be responsible for providing care for emergency patients presenting with a wide variety of medical conditions across a diverse population. This includes assessing, stabilizing, and managing patients with varying acuity and conditions, from minor/non‑urgent to critical/emergent.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence‑based emergency nursing care.
- Perform rapid assessment, stabilization, and management of patients.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
- Utilize advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) protocols.
- Participate in daily shift hand‑offs and team debriefings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Continuously improve clinical skills through continuing education and certification maintenance.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- One year of related work experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Certifications and Licensure
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
- Completion of a Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) class required within 12 months of hire and must be maintained.
- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certification required within 12 months of hire and must be maintained.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required within 6 months of hire and must be maintained.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 12 months of hire and must be maintained.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification preferred.
