PV System & Applications Engineer Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PV Systems and Applications Engineer to design and test utility scale PV DC and AC electrical systems. This role requires expertise and hands-on experience with PV and power conversion systems, knowledge of electrical safety standards, and familiarity with utility scale installations. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the optimized design of integrated equipment serving as the interface between large-scale PV arrays, power converters and their connection to medium voltage power systems. Provide detailed specifications of components, evaluate competing components and methods, and provide analysis including modeling to support design recommendations. Conduct electrical testing in laboratory and field settings on individual and integrated components in accordance with industry standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability, safety, and performance. Document system designs, test results, and compliance reports, providing regular updates on project milestones. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience and 5 years of experience with PV system design and installation, including hands-on experience in hardware integration and testing. Expertise in engineered applications and solutions for PV system installations. Understanding of electrical protection devices and safety standards Proficiency in electrical system simulation tools Hands-on experience with energy systems. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and safety awareness. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Pay Range (Applicable to California) $200,000.00 - $220,000.00 dependent on level of experience Seniority level
