Staff Hardware Engineer – Automotive Electronics Onsite 4 days/week We’re hiring a
Staff Hardware Engineer
to join a high-performance R&D team building the next generation of automotive electronics. This is a rare opportunity to take full product ownership — from concept, schematic, and layout through to production and testing. You’ll work with one of the most innovative engineering teams in the aftermarket automotive space, creating embedded systems and hardware that power some of the most exciting products on the road today. This is an
onsite role
(4 days per week) in Buffalo Grove, IL. Relocation support is available. What’s in it for you? while remaining 100% hands-on Real impact in a fast-growing, innovation-led business What we’re looking for: 10+ years of hardware design experience Strong schematic entry and layout using
Altium Designer Proven ability to take complex products through the full development cycle Hands-on skills with circuit prototyping, validation, debugging Advanced PCB experience (impedance control, length matching, etc.) Microcontroller/microprocessor-based system design Comfortable working across electrical, firmware, and mechanical boundaries Confident communicator who can collaborate, influence, and lead technical work Open, curious mindset — someone who enjoys solving hard problems and innovating Experience with
automotive protocols (OBD-II, CAN, etc.)
and embedded software (proof-of-concept firmware) is a strong plus.
