Reports to: Operations Manager/Project Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with administrative duties associated with the project, material releases, vendor follow-up, coding invoices for A/P, routine correspondence, field dimensioning, change orders, submittals, and labor and delivery schedules.

Duties And Responsibilities

Assist in the development, preparation, and finalization of project schedule.

Responsible for procuring and submitting all project submittal information as well as managing the approval process.

Assist with the administration of subcontract requirements, contract documents, and change orders.

Coordinate communications with owners, general contractors, and subcontractors.

Ensure project quality control procedures are followed during construction, in accordance with contract documents and ISEC policies.

Manage job closeout efficiently, keeping the Project Manager informed.

Assist in resolving conflicts with clients and customers.

Record all applicable information in Project Control/Document Control System with target dates.

Review Job Costs with Project Manager.

Manage shop drawings through project specifications, reviews, and final installation.

Coordinate material releases and deliveries.

Visit jobsites as needed and review progress.

Maintain a Shortage and Breakage Log and reorder materials as necessary.

Prepare operation and maintenance manuals, guarantees, and submit in accordance with specifications.

Assist Project Manager in preparing monthly billings, cost projections, and weekly logs.

Safety Responsibilities

Promote safety excellence and adhere to ISEC Safety requirements.

Coach employees on safety practices and correct deficiencies.

Report injuries and incidents promptly.

Plan and coordinate deliveries following safe practices.

Education/Experience Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field.

Minimum Qualifications:

3-6 years of experience, meeting all Project Engineer I requirements plus additional skills listed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Intermediate knowledge of ISEC products, services, and processes.

Trustworthy with ownership of projects and customer service.

Effective presentation and relationship management skills.

Understanding of jobsite environment and progress review.

Ability to lead projects independently and make decisions.

Strategic, analytical, and risk mitigation skills.

Ability to build relationships across departments.

Contribute beyond assigned projects and mentor Level I staff.
