What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Lead engineering projects and coordinate with design engineers to ensure timely and quality project milestones - Create and modify design documents and drawings for substation projects, including control schematics and wiring diagrams - Design auxiliary AC and DC power systems and develop SCADA system interfaces - Perform engineering calculations and relay coordination studies to support project success - Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, overseeing their performance and development
What is Required (Qualifications): - Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited university in Electrical Engineering - EIT designation required; Professional Engineering License (PE) strongly preferred - Minimum 5 years of experience in relay protection and control design for high voltage 15-500 kV substations - Strong understanding of the substation project lifecycle at the utility level - Excellent technical communication skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Experience in teaching, training, and mentoring team members - Proven track record of effective project management and coordination - Familiarity with utility-level engineering standards and practices - Strong analytical skills for performing engineering calculations - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
