As a highly trained professional, you will help prepare patients and operating rooms for surgery, and serve as an extra set of hands during surgical procedures. If this type of teamwork sounds intriguing to you, then we want to see you apply today!
Function as a member of the surgical team who promotes safe patient care, prepares for surgical procedures, manages the sterile field, assists the surgeon by passing instruments/equipment, and anticipates needs during surgical procedures. Understands and satisfies the supply, instrumentation, and equipment needs from neonatal to adult patients. Demonstrates advanced knowledge and proficient practice in the first scrub role for most surgical procedures. Assists with orientation of new personnel in the surgical technologist role.
Position requirements:
Completion of a surgical technologist program.
Two years of surgical technologist experience (minimum of 1 year in pediatrics).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
This position is (4) 10-hour shifts from 6:50 am until 5:20 pm, with rotating off days. Although final position will be (4) 10-hour shifts, orientation will be Monday through Friday from 6:50 am until 3:20 pm with off-shift rotation. Orientation lasts approximately 6 months.
This position also includes weekday, weekend, and holiday call requirements (must report to the hospital within 30 mins).
