We are looking for a skilled lawyer for our Americas region, preferably with strong experience in commercial contracts, to support our global Legal Team in providing high-quality legal support to Hempel’s business and operations in the Americas. As Legal Counsel in the Americas, you will advise on commercial agreements and legal considerations, reporting to the Head of Legal, Commercial, based in Shanghai, China. You will interact with stakeholders within the global business, external relations, and work with other lawyers in the global legal team. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating contracts, managing claims and disputes, advising on compliance and data protection, supporting M&A activities, and providing legal training. Qualifications include being a qualified lawyer with 6-8 years post-qualification experience, strong contract drafting and review skills, and fluency in English. Industry experience in chemicals or manufacturing, and knowledge of corporate law, intellectual property, and data protection are advantageous. Spanish skills are a plus.
