About The Position
The Credit Supervisor is responsible for compliance with Bridgeway’s Credit policies and risk evaluation process while ensuring quality responsiveness and excellent customer service to all parties requesting various forms of assistance, through supervision of the Credit Analysts and coordination with Director.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily credit operations, ensuring adherence to company credit policies and procedures. Perform in-depth risk analysis by examining credit applications, analyzing payment history, reviewing credit agency reports, analyzing financial statements, and performing financial ratio analysis to assess the degree of risk to establish credit limits for existing and prospective customers. Ongoing monitoring of established credit limits to ensure the needs of the business are being met and perform trend analysis to monitor and foresee potential credit risk. Interact and build credibility with Agents and Regional Presidents by resolving credit-related issues and developing alternative recommendations when credit information is limited. Provide regular reporting on credit risk and account status and assist management on complex/troubled accounts as well as customers on which business can be further developed. Recommend updates to credit policies and procedures to improve efficiency and risk mitigation. Manage setup and maintenance processes for customer master data to ensure information needed across all departments within the organization is obtained timely and set up accurately to reduce errors and rework. Assist in development of team to achieve high competency in their core responsibilities. Instill a culture of high personal engagement and display of positive customer service attitude towards agents, customers, and co-workers while maintaining appropriate levels of service. Manage relationship with credit insurance provider and coordinate submission of new insurance requests and claim filings.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics from an accredited institution. A minimum of three years’ prior work experience as a credit analyst. Strong understanding of financial statements and financial data. Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
