Corporate Communications Manager
Our client, a world leading specialty chemicals producer is actively looking for a Corporate Communication Manager. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the organisation’s strong reputation and delivery of strategy through building a strong brand identity and a transformational culture. The candidate must be able to conceptualise, drive and articulate creative and strategic recommendations in a highly consultative manner, while ensuring execution across a wide range of global and social media. The candidate will need to be proficient in both English and Mandarin, to support the business in Asia with exceptional marketing communications, including some specialist focus in China.
Key Responsibilities
Working with key business leaders and corporate teams across the business to develop effective communications strategies that drive value to our businesses, customers, and employees
Ensuring alignment of product marketing Comms with Internal Comms, External Comms and Marketing Comms in Asia
Ensuring strategies for the use of metrics and testing that providing insight to assist in making impactful decisions for communications, including all media monitoring
Leveraging AI to make communication more efficient and engaging for our customers and employees
Defining the annual communication & PR plan and manage materials and scheduling for news releases, media pitches, fact sheets, FAQs, blogs and social media posts
Managing and delivering on budget, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
Foster strong relationship management with local government & community, media, university, suppliers
Working on communication support for business growth in the region
Owning the regional crisis communication management and training
Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Marketing or Communications
Min 8 years of experience in marketing communication for a large/corporate organisation
Crisis communication knowledge and experience in the chemicals industry preferably
Proven experience with leveraging AI and new tools as they become available
Prior experience at event planning and management
Ability to write and schedule press releases and manage media relationships
Good understanding of how to exploit communication channels
Excellent communication and writing skills
Strategic awareness and strong influencing skills
Occasional regional travelling is required
Proficient in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese associates
