What you will do: The Associate Director, Strategy & Analytics will be instrumental in advancing Johnson Controls' enterprise strategy through data-driven insights, advanced analytics, market intelligence and executive-ready deliverables. This role is pivotal in strategic planning, investment decisions, and corporate forecasting, utilizing data analytics, economic modeling, and industry insights. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, finance, product development, and field operations, to drive high-impact, data-driven decisions across global business units and executive leadership. How you will do it: Strategic Market & Business Analytics

Develop strategic frameworks to assess market opportunities, industry trends, and competitive positioning.

Lead scenario planning and business case development for expansion, diversification, M&A, and investment strategies.

Define and support long-term growth objectives based on market intelligence

Advanced Market Modeling & Forecasting Identify, acquire, and integrate diverse data sources - including industry reports, economic indicators, and customer insights - to inform strategy

Develop sophisticated analytical models to estimate total addressable market, market share, and growth trajectories

Build dynamic forecasting models to anticipate market shifts and business performance

Create interactive dashboards, and visualizations to evaluate strategic options and track performance effectively

Competitive & Customer Intelligence Conduct deep-dive analyses of competitors, customers, and industry benchmarks to uncover key drivers of success

Deliver data-driven recommendations to refine market positioning, pricing, and market entry strategies

Work cross-functionally to integrate customer insights into product and business strategies

Governance & Stakeholder Engagement Establish best practices for data and model governance, validation, and version control to ensure accuracy and transparency

Communicate findings through executive-ready narratives that guide critical decision-making

Partner with IT and data teams to operationalize models for real-time insights

What we look for: Required 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, analytics, or market intelligence within a dynamic, data-driven environment

Proven ability to develop and refine market models and strategic frameworks

Strong proficiency in data analytics and AI tools (e.g., Power BI, Snowflake, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau)

Experience acquiring and integrating diverse data sources to inform business decisions

Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive executive decisions.

Strong business acumen with experience in growth strategy, market expansion, and M&A evaluation

Ability to influence and guide stakeholders through data-driven recommendations

Experience working in global, matrixed organizations, in a strategy environment, with in-house corporate experience is a benefit
