Advanced Architecture Analyst
who will define and evaluate the Missile Defense System (MDS) capability trade space envelope, architectural performance metrics, and other high-level performance metrics as applicable. This individual will work on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering contract. Responsibilities: Scopes, executes and documents the results of MDS architecture trade studies as a member of the Architecture Design Team. Supports the development of Initial Requirements Documents, Architecture Requirements Packages, and other systems engineering artifacts related to the MDS, as applicable. Supports the development of alternative architecture concepts addressing projected capability gaps, real-world threats, and intelligence community threat estimates. Leads and coordinates the development of architecture requirements, development, and analysis in support of Service and Combatant Commands (CCMD) needs. Leads, develops, and coordinates MDA vision and strategies to support the Warfighter, including coordinating with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, CCMDs, Intel Community (IC), Other Governmental Agencies (OGAs), national labs, Industry, and international partners. Supports the Architecture Design Team to scope and define trade study methodologies, measures, and deliverables. Supports activities of the Architecture Design Team; provides, develops, and delivers briefings addressing applicable trade study efforts; provides comment and review to work products developed by other Working Group members. Coordinates future technology requirements across the breadth of MDA and with DoD, Joint Staff, Services, the IC, and OGAs. Coordinates trade study-related activities and work products with teammates across the Architecture Design Team and external MDA stakeholders as applicable. Performs other duties as assigned. Required: Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor's degree and 20+ years of relevant experience Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures Detailed knowledge of the MDS, including Command and Control networks Ability to work with minimal guidance to accomplish duties Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred Navy veteran with experience as an Aegis Weapon System EDO or Joint Interface Control Officer, or Army/Air Force veteran familiar with MDS elements such as THAAD, LTAMDS, Sentinel, PATRIOT, GMD Deep understanding of MDS beyond traditional systems engineering perspectives Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work independently, as part of a team, or leading teams/tasks, applying engineering rigor to solve complex problems. In-depth practical and theoretical technical/engineering knowledge. Working knowledge of missile defense system components and mission. Familiarity with DOD and MDA processes and procedures. Ability to work in a high-paced environment while coordinating with multiple organizations and leadership. Proficient with Microsoft software applications. Ability to execute tasks independently and travel 20-25% to CONUS and OCONUS locations. Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
