We’re looking for a curious, optimistic and dynamic Sr. Design Technologist to join our global Music Design & Creative team. This is an opportunity to shape how Amazon Music shows up across channels and content in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role is based in Seattle or Los Angeles. Responsibilities A day in the life Join the Amazon Music Product Design team as a Design Technologist focused on creating transformative AI solutions. Engage with diverse teams, prototype innovative interfaces, and explore uncharted territories of human‑AI collaboration. Prototype novel ideas and deliver AI-assisted workflows, embracing feedback to continuously evolve your craft in alignment with Amazon Music’s fan-obsessed ethos. Collaborate with a global team of content creators and design experts to enable and improve processes. Team & Environment As part of the Amazon Music Product Design team you will work in a small, fast-paced company environment while still having access to the resources of Amazon. We maintain a startup-like culture that values innovation, efficiency, and bias for action. Partnering with the Creative Operations team we strive for operational excellence across all business verticals within Amazon Music. Qualifications Basic Qualifications 6+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience Have coding samples in front end programming languages Have an available online portfolio Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and technical partners Knowledge of technologies such as JavaScript/NodeJS, HTML/CSS, Responsive/Adaptive Design Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and source control (Git) Preferred Qualifications Experience building prototypes to advance design thinking and the final product experience Figma Technical Skills (Figma API, Figma MCP, Figma Buzz, Plugin Development) Asset processing (Image Optimization, SVG Manipulation, Batch Processing, Asset Compression) Experience collaborating with design, engineering, and non-technical partners Legal & Inclusion Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and experience. This position may include equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total package.
