Overview Carus Dental- Georgetown- Wildwood is a state-of-the-art practice in Georgetown, TX seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience with Dentrix, implants, crowns, bridges, and fabrication of temporary crowns. We are looking for a hardworking, motivated candidate with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. More about the role Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to inform quality care Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.) Provide superior chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to supported dentists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice act Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols following OSHA & CDC recommendations Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize office workflow What You’ll Gain Competitive benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plans, six paid holidays, and PTO Front-loaded education and training to develop to full potential Opportunity to be part of a stable company with 20+ years of industry-leading experience and growth potential Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state dental practice act Excellent communication and organizational skills Access to minimum PHI for job duties; regular HIPAA training and data safeguards are required Preferred Experience 1+ years of experience in a dental setting Dentrix or other dental software experience Dental assisting school certification Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation Prolonged periods of sitting and standing Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds Occasional in-person or virtual training sessions A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for new hires in dental office positions (prior to start); not applicable in FL & TN About Heartland Dental Heartland Dental is the nation’s largest dental support organization, providing non-clinical administrative support to more than 3,000 supported doctors across 39 states and DC in over 1,800 dental offices.
